2012 Acura TL SH-AWD Elite Review
The sad part about the TL is that it is actually a good car. Thankfully, it's been made more tolerable physically for 2012 with a revised front fascia that trades “I'm different” for “I want to be one of them.” Gone is the overgrown layer of plastic which used to creep up to the bonnet, and revamped is the lower-bumper opening which holds turn-signals and fog lights. Out back, the lower portion of the bumper skin has also been revised, however, the changes are very subtle. The remainder of the car is largely untouched.
Overall, the tweaked, or watered-down, exterior shell is pleasant given what it used to be pre-2009, which was hot. This then is a compliment. In Bellanova white, its stunted beak is far easier to appreciate, as is the TL's overall shape.

Acura TSX range gets a price tag
After unveiling the new special edition and sporty version of the Acura TSX, Honda’s luxury brand decided to get a little more serious and business like by announcing a new price range.
It includes the Acura TSX Sedan, the TSX Sport Wagon and even the above mentioned special edition as well.
Quite the surprise available as far as the luxury side of Acura is concerned but it seems like they’ve priced the TSX at a very good value side of the story.
It’s a tentatively Japanese like pricing strategy, and as far as hardcore figures are concerned it’s all looking pretty good.
The 2012 Acura TSX SE begins at $30.810 and for this sort of money they will let you have your own way between a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual gearbox.
Special edition 2012 Acura TSX unveiled
Here’s a car you often see rolling down the road yet rarely hear about in the news, pay much attention to in car shows or, more recently, buy.
It’s the Acura TSX and it seems like Honda’s luxury division wants to make a special edition for the 2012 model year of their car.
The 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition will be making a debut during the Orange County Auto Show, round at the same time as the Frankfurt Motor Show.
A market release is about to be happening at the same time. Acura claims that this new special edition will be getting a sportier look courtesy of a few styling tweaks.

2012 Acura TL SH-AWD elite First Drive
The new Acura TL
the TL has been one of the most controversial, at least from a stylistic perspective. It all boiled down to that so-called beak. The car’s chrome-bright proboscis served to polarize onlookers to the point it became a love-it-or-hate-it proposition. I happened to fall into the latter group. The revised front-end styling sported by the 2012 model tones down the look without deserting the corporate identity. In this regard, the 2012 TL is a much sharper-looking car. Better news is that the TL loses nothing in terms of its ability to wow the driver.
As before, there are two distinctly different flavours of TL. The base car drives its front wheels; the uplevel car powers all four. The latter model represents a big step forward from the driver’s perspective. Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) system not only divvies up the power front to rear, it also looks after the left-to-right power split at the rear axle. Entering a corner at speed sees the system feed up to 70% of the power rearward. It then sends more torque to the outside rear wheel (up to 100%), which physically turns the TL into the corner. This yields two key benefits: First, there is less steering input required and, second, the tendency to run headlong into understeer is moved out to the point where it is basically a non-issue. The second benefit is particularly significant given the sedan’s 59/41 front-to-rear weight bias.
2012 Acura TL Review
The aggressive, blunt styling of the Acura TL has given way for 2012 to a smoother, more mainstream look.
The nicely built car’s controversial front “beak” is gone, replaced by a reshaped fascia with a smaller grille. The rear also has been revised, with new bumpers, reshaped taillights and a thinner trunk edge. The car’s front overhang has been reduced a little, which helps give the car a lower, wider appearance.
Adding to a sporty look are prominent dual exhaust outlet tips and body color door handles.
The TL is a sleek four-door sedan offered with front-wheel drive or Acura’s advanced “Super Handling” all-wheel drive (SH-AWD) system. That system prevents torque steer and helps stability. It comes only with the larger 3.7-liter, 305-horsepower V-6. A 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 is offered with front-drive..
The mildly revised interior has instrument cluster changes and new surface finishes. There’s plenty of room up front. The rear seat is roomy for two tall adults, but its center area is too hard for comfort and best left to the fold-down armrest, which contains cupholders. Nicely shaped front seats are supportive. My test TL had optional front sport seats, which provide added support. Available ventilated front seats are new.

2011 Acura TSX
The much-maligned wagon, supposedly replaced for good by the crossover, or, even worse, the "gran turismo," lives on healthily at Acura with the 2011 TSX. Also available as a four-door sedan, the 2011 TSX offers a look into what all Acuras should be, with plenty of equipment, relatively compact size, efficient powertrains, and user-friendly design. MotorAuthority rates the TSX a solid 8 for its available wagon form factor, an increasing rarity in the luxury segment.
Fighting it out against more entrenched luxury brands from Germany and even its own Japanese rivals, not to mention the rising Americans, the TSX has earned its place through merit. Two engine choices are available, both fun to drive, though the V-6 adds the top-end power many drivers will want.
The 201-horsepower four-cylinder is peppy and pleasant-sounding even at full tilt, while managing a wallet-friendly 22 mpg in town and 30 mpg on the highway. The 280-horsepower V-6 doesn't nip too much deeper at the pump, scoring 19/28 mpg. It's also willing to stretch its legs, though with either engine, you'll get a chassis that's tuned to deliver a firm, responsive ride.

2011 acura TL
The latest car from acura is 2011 Acura TL, Acura commence to create an all-new vehicle with an exterior design that’s more taut, acrobatic and powerful than older version. Enthusiast drivers apprise the previous-generation TL for it is high dynamic capabilities-it is a true driver’s car that competes against the best near-luxury sedans. These enthusiasts are progressively looking for more dynamical refinement and capability, and affectional styling.
The new 2011 acura TL uses crisp, satin trim in key areas rather than bright chrome, taut lines instead of sweeping curves and a driver-oriented layout makes driving more engaging. After last years of high-profile military engagements abroad and a stagnating economy and growing unemployment back home, one thing is clear: on that point no stopping the sales of entry-level luxury sedans.
This car comes equipped with seat-mounted side airbags for front occupants and side curtain airbags to protect those in the front and rear.
How about safety for this car ?
Acura is predicting a five-star sweep in government crash testing and a “Good” rating in IIHS frontal offset testing.

“It’s hard to follow a trio of silver Lexus RXs on the freeway—as I was this morning—without wondering what could be going through their drivers’ minds. However, my suggestion would be Acura’s MDX, which is a particularly effective solution for awkward situations like this, as the MDX is never, ever, seen in groups of three (let alone two). Sure, the Acura’s pricier that the RX (by about eight percent, comparing AWD base versions). But for it you’re rewarded with an enormously more interesting driving experience, made better for 2010 by a fairly comprehensive sprucing.”

"With an advanced all-wheel-drive system and active suspension, the 2010 Acura MDX handles like a sports car"
“With bumped-up luxury appointments in the cabin, an advanced cabin tech suite, and unexpectedly good handling, the 2010 Acura MDX provides driving satisfaction for leisurely cruises and mountain romps.”
“Blind-spot detection is one of our favorite safety features, and it is nice to see Acura employing it in the MDX.”
“The navigation system guided us through city streets, its route guidance enunciating street names, and the MDX proved very drivable. In the madness of downtown streets, where random double-parked cars and road construction require quick lane changes, the MDX's light steering and responsive low-speed acceleration helped us jump the car from lane to lane.”
“As we gave it gas on the way through the turn, Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive system (SH-AWD) performed its torque vectoring magic, sending power across the rear axle to spin the outside wheel harder than the inside. The feeling of the car sending its back end around to help complete the corner was fantastic.”
“This feature, called Song by Voice, worked well, never once getting our requests wrong.”
“The freeway gave us the opportunity to test the car's adaptive cruise control, another new feature for Acura. Setting the speed at 70 mph, we left the brake and gas alone, watching as the MDX matched speeds with the car ahead, maintaining a set distance. There was plenty of traffic, with some slowdowns to 40 mph, but the car kept its distance from the one ahead, and did not react badly when other cars cut in front of us.”

the 2011 Acura TSX gets a discreet facelift that includes a revised grille and foglamp surrounds of the TSX wagon have been fitted to the sedan, and the changes out back are limited to slightly refreshed taillamps and a license plate garnish. Four-cylinder TSXs got a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels, while a larger set of 18-inch rollers are fitted to V6 models.
Inside, updates include the updated styling of the center console, the darker trim pieces, brightly finished door handles, an updated parking brake handle, new garnishes for the steering wheel and an available LED backlit full VGA navigation screen that generates 400-percent better resolution than before.
Under the sheetmetal, the Acura’s engineers have tweaked the 2.4L inline four cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 engines. According to Acura, both units receive numerous improvements to reduce internal operating friction which help improve fuel economy, lower carbon dioxide (CO2) output and increase engine life.

2011 Acura RL Review and Specs
2011 Acura RL
2011 Acura RL
2011 Acura RL
2011 Acura RL
2011 Acura RL
2011 Acura RL
The 2011 Acura RL is an elegant, conservative sedan—at the large end of mid-size, powered by a strong, high-revving V-6 powertrain and sophisticated all-wheel drive system, and loaded with comfort, tech, and infotainment features. But simply put, compared to nearly any other sport luxury sedans from rival brands, it comes up short.
2011 Acura RL look great: The powerful 300-hp V-6, a new six-speed automatic with paddle-shifters, and a sophisticated SH-AWD all-wheel drive system help put the power to the pavement (and smartly manage it from side to side) even on tight, roughtly surfaced corners. But somehow, something's missing in the translation to the driver's seat. This year, a new six-speed automatic provides smoother, surer shifts, which helps make the powertrain more agreeable than ever, but numb, innocuous steering and all-around isolated feel keep you from pushing it hard. If you do, though, you'll find it's actually quite hard to fluster: Acura's SH-AWD system here simply delivers with composure and grip, whenever you need it.
